Nothing is quite as romantic as an entire log cabin to yourselves in the mountains of Colorado. Combine privacy, views, an open lake and the love of your life and things don’t really get much better than that!
A+C decided that they wanted to celebrate their love in a quiet, but wholly intentional way. With a focus on just the two of them and nature, there was no need to get extravagant when you have the mountains as your backdrop. Celebrating Colorado in all her majestic beauty is not a difficult thing to do.
A wore a gown from AW Bridal which makes beautiful, affordable wedding gowns for every occasion. They have a variety of sizes and shapes, and what’s more is that they’re pretty easy to move around in – just check out that canoe perch!
Colorado summers mean long hours and lots of daylight. So after getting ready together in their adorable cabin by the lake, these two shared in some charcuterie and champagne before hitting the water for some incredible scenery. We even saw a moose! One thing I especially loved about documenting these two is that there was no particular hurry for anything- they were completely relaxed and taking in every moment. Its so important to remember when you’re planning your day that this is about YOU. SO slow down, and enjoy it! This airbnb was a perfect fit- they even had a firepit, ping pong table and room for 6! Would be an awesome option for a small group too if that’s what you would prefer!
Nestled outside the town of Idaho Springs, there are plenty of driveways that end in small cabins. These cabins provide the perfect getaway for an intimate ceremony, and the good news is that they’re not too far from breweries and some pizza! If you ever find yourself in the area, my favorite place for some good beer in Idaho Springs is called Westbound & Down – they make a mean IPA and the food is quality!
