Colorado summers are pretty much the best thing ever. You get long days of sunshine filled with blossoming high alpine wild flowers, pups that want to frolic in the cool waters, and an energy for love that is unmatched in season. Plus when these glimmering pools reflect the mountains above them it really is a sight to behold.
Summer is the season of Love, and man is it awesome in Colorado. Eloping in Colorado means you likely get a little bit of all these things. If you’re anything like A+T and want to embrace all of what it means to celebrate in Colorado then definitely look to the summer for your elopement!
Aside from also being able to self- solemnize, all of my Colorado elopement packages comes with planning and permit assistance. This means that if you want to elope in a specific place, and you’re not sure if there are any restrictions of not, then I do the research! If so, I shoot you over a link and easy peasy. Just a word of advice, some locations in Colorado are extremely popular for elopements and photos, and therefore the Parks/Ranger service do limit the number they give out. This just means that we have to be prepared, and always come ready for a Plan B.
The other cool thing about eloping in Colorado just the two of you (and the pup!) is that you can make the most of your day with long daylight hours. A + T even announced to the world on their Jeep that they just eloped! And it was the cutest thing ever!
Be sure to bring bug spray, layers and lots of fluids when you are in the Colorado high country- it still surprises me to this day how much the altitude can affect me. So definitely come prepared, and in the best case scenario you will have given yourself several days to acclimate at the higher altitude before any big hikes!
